Thank you for carrying forth with the fight to re-empower the Middle class and create more opportunities for those less fortunate to achieve for themselves the dream of belonging to the American Middle class. It has occurred to me that one of the pivotal reasons that the Progressive policies necessary for those opportunities to be enacted as law is that there is a gap within the ranks of Progressives. That gap is the lack of a consistent agenda. An agenda that lists 10 (for example) legislative items that in order to call yourself a Progressive. To be effective over the long term each of those items should be aspirational rather than aiming for an expedient compromise that fails the test for Progressive policy. A Progressive agenda item must conform to some simple metrics. The agenda item must never create any negative environmental impact. The measure of success is how it increases the health, wealth, and general happiness of any person it touches. Increasing the wealth of any business it touches is not a measure of success. And of utmost importance it must pass the morality test by applying the Golden Rule as stated by Rabbi Hillel, who was an influence on Rabbi Jesus. “What is hateful to yourself, you should not inflict on your neighbor”.
I look forward to your reply. To bring about a Progressive nation out of the chaos we are now experiencing a plan for how to do that is of utmost import.
